Royal Hobart Hospital was a John Holland Fairbrother Joint Venture project, the head Interiors Project Manager had previously completed the Austin, Mercy Hospital project in Heidelberg, Victoria, the Royal Womens Hospital relocation development in Parkville, Vic, Austin Hospital extension, Prahran Vic, Monash Health, Translation precinct project, Clayton Vic, amongst others before moving to the Royal Hobart, Tasmanian development team.
With all this experience obtaining a positive response to the EZRcurtainchange system was taken as a major step forward for the product.
Miami Design an experienced Hospital project contractor, with the support of John Holland, proposed the product to a project team, which included Lyons Architects, Tasmanian Health representative, John Holland Fairbrother and the current Royal Hobart Hospi- tal facilities team who would have the responsibility of utilising the product going forward.
Fair to say the prototype consultation went well and the product was approved for use on the project.
Two years post facility operation commencement, the first Curtainchange process began and we are please to report the purchase of additional change arms to expedite the process was the only requirement of the facilities team.
